Find a Little Enlightenment at the Crow
Christmas this, Christmas that. You know what would really piss off Bill O'Reilly this holiday season? Learning about religious and philosophical traditions outside of the dominant paradigm. Tomorrow presents a perfect opportunity with a "Perspectives on Buddhism" talk by David Sunshine, owner of Dallas Yoga Center.

Perhaps a crash course in enlightenment will teach us to rise above the War on the War on Christmas. Or, more likely, we will instead find ourselves gratefully reminded that Dallas is a complex cosmopolitan city with myriad multicultural attitudes and understandings. Sunshine will discuss mindfulness as it relates to Theravadin, Mahayana and Tantric Buddhism, as he examines the concept through the lens of his personal experiences here and abroad.
The free gallery talk takes place tomorrow from 12:15 p.m.to 1:00 p.m at the Crow Collection of Asian Art.
