Seek, Find, Snap, Post: Win Tickets with the Artopia Box Hunt

Taro-Kun's Artopia box
You're probably so used to seeing those red Observer boxes that you don't really see them anymore. That's why local artists Taro-Kun, Magnificent Beard, Lunch Buddies, Fur Face Boy & Sleepy Dan, Kyle Confehr & Favio Moreno wrapped some chosen dispensers with their incredible creativity.

All that work (and so much more) is in celebration of Saturday's Artopia event at Dallas Contemporary -- the Dallas Observer's annual shebang that draws together all manner of culture from visual art to fashion to live music to gorgeous and tasty food. And you want to be there, we assure you.

If you've delayed in snagging your Artopia tickets ($20 in advance or $30 at the door), you could actually win them by participating in a scavenger hunt. An artful, Dallas-proud scavenger hunt.

All you need to do is find at least three of the special Artopia Observer boxes around Dallas, snap photos of them and post them to our Artopia Facebook page. For that you'll win two general admission tickets. Find, photograph and post all five? Win a pair of VIP tickets. Yes, that means for for five photos and a fun day looking for rad art in our fair city you'll get free beer, wine and cocktails all night.

If you've already bought tickets but you happen upon a box, don't despair -- inside the papers is a flyer for a little something special at Artopia.

And we're not leaving you completely helpless here. We're providing a complete map of box locations, you just have to provide the drive. Get it?! The drive?! Because you'll drive around to find the boxes?! HA! Anyway, get out there, find some art, and win some tickets. We'll see you on Saturday.

I do appreciate your concern, Larry. Everyone makes mistakes, though, and thanks to you, mine has now been corrected.
