Wonder if Amazing Race host Phil Keoghan will be there.
Reality television shows are always scouring Dallas for potential cast members for shows like The Bachelor and American Idol because, let's face it, there's no shortage of camera-ready talents (and crazies) to fill hours of network programming. If you keep complaining that producers are missing out on a reality pot o' gold such as yourself, listen up. CBS is holding an open casting call for The Amazing Race from 2 to 7 p.m. tomorrow at Irving Arts Center, and they're looking for teams of two to participate in an upcoming season of the award-winning hit.

There's not much else you need to do other than bring yourself and your mom, friend or pretty much anyone else that will agree to be your potential teammate and wouldn't mind splitting the million dollar prize with you. Casting agents will shoot a short interview video with you and your teammate, and then you can spend the rest of the day checking out Genghis Khan: The Exhibition. Of course, there are always prerequisites for television shows. After the jump, the eligibility requirements straight from the presser.

  • Apply with a teammate
  • Be 21 years of age or older at the time of application
  • Be United States citizens and must be living in the United States
  • NOT be a current candidate for political office
  • Be in excellent physical and mental health and be willing to undergo physical and psychological examinations and testing and meet all physical and psychological requirements
  • Be willing to authorize producers to conduct a background check
  • Disclose whether they have ever been charged with a felony or misdemeanor (other than minor traffic or parking violations) and whether they have had a restraining order entered against them
  • Have a valid U.S. passport or be in the process of obtaining a passport
  • Be able to travel for long periods of time without interruption, adaptable to various living and traveling situations and must be willing to travel in close proximity with others of varied age, sex, race, background and experience.
  • Must be willing to receive all necessary immunizations and take preventative medications as deemed medically necessary by the producers

We're a little nervous about that last one, but since The Amazing Race is in its tenth year (they're shooting Season 19 right now) we trust that you're in safe hands should you be cast in the show. Obviously, you won't have to worry about getting malaria, unless they make that part of the challenge.

And don't forget, former Dallas Cowboys cheerleader Starr Spangler and her brother Nick came out on top in the 13th season of The Amazing Race in 2008.
