Rock The Bells season is officially here. This Tuesday, promoters Guerilla Union held their launch party/press conference for this year's festival. Hosted by HOT97's Peter Rosenberg, the festivities started off with the longstanding tradition of freestyle extraordinaire MC Supernatural rapping the 2013 lineup. Seated on stage with the likes Black Hippy, Bone Thugs N Harmony, Jhene Aiko, Tech N9ne- was Guerrilla Union CEO Chang Weisberg. To the right and left of Weisberg sat Cherry Jones (mother of Ol' Dirty Bastard) and Tomica Wright (widow of Eazy-E), respectively. Foxy Brown Lies About Jay-Z's Sex Life and Other Controversies

Foxy Brown and Jay-Z in more amiable times.

Where to begin? #raptwitter had a big day yesterday, with big stories breaking left and right. From a Foxy Brown hoax to a pseudo-Big Tymers reunion, here are your biggest hip-hop news stories of the week:

Yesterday started off with a shocking report of Foxy Brown dishing out some pretty wild allegations about Jay-Z. The story, which was posted April 19, went viral this morning. In it, the author states that Foxy Brown tells all about 28-year-old Jay-Z taking her virginity when she was only 15. Other accusations of the Jigga man leaving her with a case of gonorrhea, being a "tranny chaser" and filming a threesome home video with Brown and actor Jamie Foxx were pretty jarring to read first thing in the morning (which I did). The post even quotes Foxy referring to Beyonce as a "halitosis infected heffa." Then, as quickly as the story caught steam, it was debunked by Reggie Osse of Complex.com's The Combat Jack Show.

Danny Brown Was Not the Victim of His On-Stage Blowjob, Despite Contrary Reports

This is a complicated story to tell. Misogyny, misandry, rape, consent, slut shaming and victim blaming are not exactly pleasant topics of discussion, but this week they were all brought to the forefront of #raptwitter. Danny Brown's Old & Reckless Tour is well underway. The Detroit rapper's first headlining national outing has been doing well so far, and he and opening act/protege Kitty have been critically well-received. Last Friday, however, when the two hit Minneapolis, Minnesota, things got incredibly uncomfortable. During his set, a young female audience member at the front of the stage allegedly grabbed at Brown's penis and flashed her breasts. Then, this young female audience member allegedly proceeded to remove said penis from Brown's pants and perform oral sex on him. In the since-deleted Twitter exchange above with Kendrick Lamar, Brown gives his only direct comment on the situation so far. Kitty, however, wrote an in-depth op-ed on VICE Magazine's NOISEY blog earlier this week.

Joey Bada$$ is under the influence of blog hype. Monday, the New York rap wunderkind, caused quite a stir when he reacted publicly to the flyer for Wiz Khalifa's Under The Influence of Music tour. In tweets that have since been deleted, the eighteen year old emcee stated "If I'm under Trinidad James I'm not doing the Under The Influence Tour. Straight", followed by "no disrespect to the man on gold. but I just don't like seeing myself at the bottom. APEX" Naturally, the Twittersphere proceeded to immediately jump up his ass.
