Tori Amos doesn't seem to trust this quiz.
Even if you weren't a Tori Amos fan in the mid-to-late '90s, the odds are good that you knew a few of us who were.

Our Kool-Aid dyed hair and witch-length skirts helped visually amplify our hormonal angst to the surrounding world. As did our notebooks -- scribbled with words about nicotine patch addiction, little earthquakes, spinning in circles and other cryptic riddles that only Our Great Lady Guardian, Tori Amos, fully understood.

She's in town tonight at the AT&T Performing Arts Center in support of her 14th album, Unrepentant Geraldines. But if you've explored the ladies rooms of your favorite Dallas bars, you might think she's been here all along.

We went ahead and collected our favorite pieces of bathroom poetry so you could decide: Is it a Tori Amos lyric, or a girl shitting with a pen? Click through to find out.

The last one, "I will wade out..." is actually the first stanza of an e.e. cummings poem from his 1925 collection "XLI Poems." Haha..i guess girls "shitting with pens" have interesting tastes in poetry beyond Tori Amos?

"Here in My Head" is not a Tori Amos album. It's a song - and a b-side at that. It's not even on any album.

I'm assuming the author of this article just looked up the lyrics on the fan site "Here in my Head" and assumed that was the name of the album. In any case, it's a major error.

"I will wade out.." is not Tori Amos... "He's a Merman, Go to Bed the Priests are Dead, Finally, No one Can Call you that..."is a Tori Amos lyric.

Awesome Tori Amos, Song, "Concertina"... from the ChoirGirl Hotel Album, "I'm not policing what you think and dream. I run into "you're" thought from across the room. Just another trick, can I weather this....the Source Without the Blame". Is she referring to God, Unseen? Or the People Who Falsely Claimed God, and broke every promise in the bible?"

"messenger..." not Tori Amos, lyrics.  "Only the Puppet Knew Exactly What He Was", Tori Amos, "Not Dying Today", Abnormally Attracted to Sin. "Did I Somehow Become you, Without Realizing?" Tori Amos, Oysters, Unrepentant Geraldines.

This is not Tori Amos, Words. "Not today....Neal is thrilled he can claim He's mamammalian, but he said, Girl You're a Dandelion. Blow those seeds away and maybe one will make a sound...make a sound." Tori Amos, "Not Dying Today", Abnormally Attracted to Sin".

Thank you for this.  I never "got" Tori Amos.  Hopefully never will.

Clever and funny quiz; however, I have to point out that Here in My Head sounds to me like it's a compilation album.  The Beekeeper comes off of an album called The Beekeeper, and Concertina comes off of To Venus and Back!

@senorita_cindita There is no compilation album called Here in my Head. The author got it wrong.
