The Prophet Bar has removed next weekend's Public Enemy show from its calendar, and the ticket link on the band's web site is now dead. No word on the reason for the cancellation, but they'll still be playing in Houston on December 27.

Original post from November 19 follows...

The Door in Dallas has just announced they're bringing Public Enemy to town on December 29. Tickets are set to go on sale this Thursday, November 21.

In recent years, Public Enemy's live show has consisted of lead emcee Chuck D, hype man extraordinaire Flava Flav, DJ Lord, and sometimes a full live band under music director Khari Wynn. Last year, Public Enemy became the fourth rap group to ever be inducted into the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame. They are best known for releasing one of the most influential rap songs of all time, "Fight The Power," which was immortalized by a dancing Rosie Perez in the opening credits of the 1989 film Do The Right Thing.

My mind is just fine. Let's compare the post or during violence of a rap concert to Any other genre of music. Fuck the media, just attend one of these concerts and see for yourself.
