Sons of Fathers from Austin, who performed at the Granada this past Friday night for the Homegrown Fest's "Pre-Party" with Telegraph Canyon, got into town early enough to do a bit of video-shooting, it seems. The group is shown in the well-made clip singing their harmony-rich tune "Roots and Vine." Watch below.

The band, led by Paul Cauthen and David Beck, has received plenty of rightful praise from the likes of Rolling Stone magazine and CMT.com since the release of their second album, Burning Days. They are, along with the Dirty River Boys and the Turnpike Troubadours, among the best up-and-coming live bands that the Texas country scene has to offer. They've already been packing clubs across the country, and their sounds range far beyond the country realm into blues, rock and soul, so a sidewalk show in the middle of the day will soon stop a good bit of traffic, we assume.

Great sound and energy. Traffic stoppers, for certain.
