Morrissey, scheduled to play the Palladium on February 18, has just announced that he's rescheduling due to continued struggles with a bleeding ulcer and Barrett's esophagus. Medical issues already sidelined the songwriting legend in late January for six shows; he's expected to resume touring in Denver on February 21. The full announcement, via his official Facebook page:

As the doctor has ordered MORRISSEY to rest for two additional weeks, the upcoming Texas engagements in El Paso (2/12), Austin (2/13), Pharr (2/15), Beaumont (2/16), and Dallas (2/18) will need to be rescheduled. MORRISSEY is currently undergoing treatment for a bleeding ulcer and Barrett's esophagus. These shows are in the process of being rescheduled immediately and all patrons are encouraged to hold on to their tickets as the new dates will be announced shortly. MORRISSEY thanks everyone concerned for their well wishes and looks forward to getting back on the road. The tour will resume as scheduled in Denver at Temple Hoyne Buell Theatre on Feb 21.

We'll let you know as soon as that rescheduled date is announced. And in the meantime, we wish him well -- this is turning into quite an ordeal.

This wasnt a surprise and it is why that I didnt buy a ticket. The monarch of mope has been sick as fuck lately. This date was going to get canceled. I'll just catch him on the make-up date. I'll see a healthy Morrissey put on a better show as I stand there digesting some bbq. With a slim jim in my pocket. Singing along.
