My Education's live scoring of the silent film Sunrise a few months ago during the Oak Cliff Film Festival , as well as the live performances accompanying May's screening of Urgh! A Music War, had us wishing for more live shows like that at Texas Theatre.

Alas, they're bringing in another Alamo Drafthouse-tested film/music pairing on Friday, September 14.

Austin's Montopolis, the project of musician Justin Sherburn, will do a live score for Man With A Movie Camera, a plot- and dialogue-free 1929 Russian film that revolves around director Dziga Vertov's camera and the experimental and stylistic methods he employs.
