Video: Dallas "Comedy Rap" Artist Dickward Codgers Decides The World Needs A Song About Bath Salts

Just when you thought it was safe to look at the Internet without being pelted with another story about bath salts turning humans into empty husks, or reading a story about the drug that makes you not be able to sleep at night, Dickward Codgers, aka JReal, aka Dallas "comedy rap" artist Jared Kapavik, has decided to address the designer drug with his new track, "Bath Salts." Says Kapavik:

"I've done pretty much every drug in the book, including hallucinogens, and I have never had the urge to step outside what I know is normal. I'm not glorifying my veteran status as a user. I am merely using it as a comparison. I talk about Vicodin, lean, coke in all my songs, more to share personal experience than anything. It is the same as a rapper who talks about street life. I don't think they are glorifying it. I think they are sharing their struggle. When I looked into bath salts and saw the behavior associated with heavy use, I felt like it was a topic I could shed some light on, and still stick with being me as a comedy rap artist."

Well, I've definitely seen artists channel the horrors of addiction and "comedy" a little more gracefully than Codgers, but nuance doesn't seem to be his bag. Despite Kapavik's claim of satire, the video will come with a disclaimer.
