We received word on Tuesday that Ghostbar, the ultra lounge perched on the 33rd floor of the W Hotel, is closing. We also learned the club's Director of Marketing and Music, Wade Randolph Hampton, is joining forces with party purveyor Brooke Humphries, bringing weekly EDM dance party The ISH, with him to It'll Do.

While Hampton isn't sure what's going to happen to the space that housed Ghostbar, he's anxious to get the next party started. "It'll Do reminds me of a club I had in San Francisco called La Belle Epoque," he says. "It was a megaclub in the late '90s. It was a laboratory used to show off what we were doing with music... EDM is at the top of its game right now, and [Dallas] deserves a good weekly or two."

Hampton and Humphries seem like a match made in party-planning heaven. How did they meet?

"That's a good question," Hampton chuckles. "I don't recall. We had a lot of mutual friends. You know, it could have been in the late '90s when I played at Zen Fest. It was a huge EDM festival that took place on a ranch. Eventually 15 to 20,000 people were showing up for it. So maybe then? I was at so many festivals, it's kind of a blur."

The ISH, which started in 2009, will debut at It'll Do on Friday, July, 27. The lineup for the night includes Archnemesis, Smooth Criminal (aka Wade Randolph Hampton) and Spenca.

How quickly this place has changed it's "tune" in a grab for cash. Why do you keep giving these urchins press?
