Picnictyme
We've reached the halftime portion of 2012, where everyone's scrambling to tally their faves from the past six months. Instead of looking back, we thought it'd be more productive to address what you should be listening to in the future. Here are a few DFW songs to check out, as you ease into Memorial Day weekend.

Blackstone Rangers, "Into the Sea"
This quartet's been busy recording their new EP, which drops in a couple weeks. This track sounds very different than the full-court distortion I witnessed back at the beginning of this year at 2826 Arnetic. Dig it.

Picnictyme, "Horizons"
The Dallas producer and performer has worked with A.Dd+ and Erykah Badu, but he's going solo with his upcoming album, Sea Monsters, set for late summer release.

Mystery Skulls, "Ghost"
Luis Dubuc, aka Mystery Skulls, will be at this weekend's Homegrown Fest, and has been circulating some new material. Here's a little taste of what he's up to, and what you might hear.
