Ty Segall To Open For The Jesus and Mary Chain on Wednesday

Categories: DFW Music News

Ty is really excited.

35 Denton just announced the opening act for Wednesday's rescheduled Jesus and Mary Chain show will be San Francisco shredder Ty Segall, whose 2011 Goodbye Bread LP contained the perfect right brain/left brain of pop and distortion. It's actually the perfect match. Damn, 35 Denton, y'all playin' cupid.

Again, the show is free and starts at 7 p.m. at North Texas State Fairgrounds. Those who already have fest wristbands will be offered priority entry.

Personally I enjoy it. Not my favorite but it has a heavy dose of good songs. I personally love the way Jim Reid's vocals accompany those of Hope Sandavol on 'Sometimes Always' and find it a good fit for Shane McGowan on 'God Help Me Through This Day'.
