There's a good chance you haven't heard much about Dallas dream-pop act Crushed Stars. Singer Todd Gautreau generally flies below the radar, and the Frisco native plays an average of one live show per album, which, by our calculation, makes six.

His bandmates stay pretty busy with their own projects: Drummer Jeff Ryan records with War On Drugs and St. Vincent, Howard Draper plays in Okkervil River and Buffi Jacobs is in the Polyphonic Spree.

The group still finds time to record Crushed Stars material, and the new album, In the Bright Rain, comes out March 6 on Simulacra Records. We'll have a full review in this week's issue. (Hint: We like it, a lot.) In the meantime, though, My Old Kentucky Blog is streaming the whole thing. Check it out.
