Tool Announces Dallas Tour Date at Verizon Theatre

For those who missed Puscifer at the Majestic Theatre last week, never fear. You'll be able to get the most potent Maynard James Keenan fix possible on Friday, January 20, when his band Tool performs at Verizon Theatre in Grand Prairie.

Those who've attended past Tool shows say it's quite a spectacle, though the band hasn't been through Dallas since 2009.

Ticket prices aren't too terribly bad. Diehard fans will find them downright affordable at $59 to $85. They'll go on sale on Friday at 10 a.m. over at the Verizon Theatre website. But if that's a little too much for the pocket book, you can always see Toology -- a Tool tribute act -- at House of Blues just a week earlier on January 14. That one only costs $10.

I went to the show and it was great! If that was me getting ripped off then I'd do it again tomorrow. One of the best shows I've ever seen!!

I'd be in, but this will be the third trip to Dallas since "10,000 Days".  Love the music, but I'd like to hear some new stuff.

What's so wrong with doing some dates when you need a little cash?  Sounds like a good life to me.  Plus, Tool live can be an exercise in precision musicianship and a spectacle to behold.  It can also be a lifeless, halved-ass walk thru if Maynard is in one of those moods.

This.

I would really like to know wtf they are touring for. There are only 12 dates on this "tour". They are "reportedly" writing for the follow-up to 10,000 Days, maybe this tour is to get them back into the swing of things of where they left off?

Actually Tool has no control over those fees. Its all from Ticketmaster, or where ever you are getting the tickets from AXS in this case. They are convience fees, tax, etc. Retarded, I know. But oh well.
