B.B. King at Billy Bob's Texas, The Boom Boom Box at La Grange, and More Show Announcements

A young B.B. King
It's a far cry from B.B. King's legendary 1968 performance at Fillmore West in San Fransisco, where the story has it that he was booed by black audience members. But, as he's done many times since, King is returning to perform at Billy Bob's Texas in Fort Worth on Saturday, February 25.

Tickets for the show aren't available yet, but when they are, they'll range from $20 to $50, depending on how much of a thrill you want from Lucille. Stay tuned to the Billy Bob's website for more details.

As Audra mentioned just a few weeks ago, area supergroup-of-sorts, The Boom Boom Box, has signed a record deal with Kirtland Records, and will celebrate the release of their first LP Until Your Eyes Get Used to the Darkness at La Grange with New Fumes and Dove Hunter on Saturday, January 21. Tickets are a whopping $7 on Prekindle.

Even though it's a rather dead week in the music world, we've got plenty of show announcements for you on the next page.

I've seen BB like 100 times, and I'd be fine without hearing his single note solo's....enough already.  What a list; the only thing that is listenable is THE GREAT Butch Hancock.

BB King personal best damm show ever Austin Tx Backyard #2 I believe, old man can work it, the crowd was putty between his fingers. A thunderstorm built in the backdrop and eventually drenched everyone, but BB gave us another ten of fifteen minutes. Those that wernt as tough as the dibetic 80 yr old ran for the exits, and they missed greatness
