Wilco is coming for you!
The hits just keep on coming this week and the fall concert calender keeps getting beefier and beefier: Wilco, the inspiration for countless terrible area bands and a handful of decent ones, has announced today that it will be returning to North Texas on November 29 for a gig at the Fair Park Music Hall. No ticket info is available yet, but this much is becoming obvious: Fresh off their performance at the University of North Texas Auditorium back in May, it's clear that these dudes very much enjoy playing underused rooms.

Meanwhile, Carrollton has announced the headlining acts for their now-annual Festival at the Switchyard, which this year will take place on Saturday, November 5. After kicking things off last year with a nice all-local pairing of the Polyphonic Spree and the Old 97's, this year's affair will be topped by performances from the ever-present-in-North-Texas Bob Schneider and the ever-present-in-the-late-'90s Third Eye Blind. This year's semi-charmed event will be free to attend.

Lastly, in far hipper news, independent local talent buying agency Parade of Flesh has added another show this morning to its increasingly impressive fall calendar.
In addition to Japandroids and Bass Drum of Death (at Bryan Street Tavern on September 7), Why? (at Sons of Hermann Hall on September 30), OFF! (a Sons of Hermann Hall on October 12), The War on Drugs (at Bryan Street on October 17) and Das Racist and Danny Brown (at Sons on October 29), the company has announced today that it will also host fast-rising Austin-based drone rock heroes Pure X at Dada on October 27.
