Poster of the Week: Neon Indian at the Granada Theater on Saturday, September 24
Fitting, then, that this week's top poster combines a few of those ideas.
Says Granada promotions manager Gavin Mulloy: "[It's their] maiden voyage working with Granada. Loved their work and contacted them. Hope to do more with them."
Easy to see why. They do a nice job with it, adding a little bit of psychedelia to a found image of children running -- perhaps into a pool during a deabeat summer? Maybe.
Regardless, it's a party for your eyes. The splashes of color, though seemingly random in their placement, given the poster design an almost burnt-out feel, adding to the overall nostalgia at play. And, of course, surrounding all the trippy stuff, all the pertinent show info is included.
A nice visual, for sure.
Think your poster is better? Want to see one of your designs get honored next week? Drop us an e-mail with an image promoting an upcoming show right here. Oh, and, when possible, be sure to do so at least a week in advance of the show. Thanks!
