The duo of honeyhoney, consisting of Suzanne Santo and Ben Jaffe, is one of those acts that, in recent years, have found themselves just on the cusp of breakthrough stardom.

They made some noise in 2008 when their jaunty, edgy single "Little Toy Gun" found its way into the mainstream, if only for a bit. Furthermore, the album that featured "Little Toy Gun," First Rodeo, garnered a bit of attention due to the man who owned the label that released it: Jack Bauer Keifer Sutherland.

We only mention that here because it's an interesting footnote. The group has a hell of a lot more going for it than world-saving, anti-heroes backing their tunes.

Like many of the better acts going these days, it's hard to pin-down where their sound belongs in the sonic spectrum. Folk, rock, country and pop all find their way into the bands sweet mélange. The band just got off tour with the hotter-than-a-pistol Christina Perri and has now started the "Ten Buck Tour" with Joshua James, among others. While on this tour, the band will be promoting their soon-to-be-released album, Billy Jack.

Given that the duo will be grabbing the mic at the Prophet Bar tonight and the fact that their new album draws its name from the trash-tastic 1971 classic film, we thought it's be pretty swell to get their list of All-Time Top Five Movies From the 1970s. After the jump, the band obliges.

HoneyHoney's All-Time Top Five '70s Films

1. The Godfather (1972). We're fans of the story and imagining little Mario Puzo hunched over his typewriter spinning beautiful yarns and saying perverted things.

2. Chinatown (1974). We love Los Angeles history, and this movie helped us to understand why Jack Nicholson is more badass than most other Hollywood pansy-flowers. Also, Faye Dunaway is a fox.

3. Jaws (1975). Who doesn't love the thrill of a great white shark eating entire boats?

4. The Phantom Tollbooth (1970). The trippiest, most psychedelic kids' movie of all time (until the Spongebob Squarepants movie came out).

5. Pink Panther Strikes Again (1976). Because we are a man and woman of mystery. And Peter Sellers was a great drummer.
