This Week In Dallas Music History: Dixie Chick Emily Robison Does Dallas
They weren't on the best of terms with the Dallas Observer, though. One Robert Wilonsky had previously pissed the group off by accusing the band of forgetting their roots. Luckily, though, we had Eric Celeste, another (now former) Dallas Observer writer, a Dixie Chicks superfan.
In this edition of This Week In Dallas Music History, we turn the page back to this week in the year 2000, when Celeste managed to get 2,300 words out of a four-question interview with Dixie Chick Emily Robison. And one of the questions were about her boobs.
She addresses the boob question with great tact, as well as the accusation that the band had sold out. She also accepts Celeste's apology for spazzing out and attempting to give her a high five at the Lakewood Landing two months prior to the interview.
According to the story, the questions he asks lead to six other points of interest that Robison brings up during the interview. Celeste kindly links each one to an end note. It's kind of a fun read even if you boycotted the band back in the early aughts.
Check it out after the jump.
