Songs For Your Casey Anthony Trial Hangover

OK, so it wasn't the trial of the century or anything. But with planking beginning to become passe, all the good sports either in their off-season or lockout, and no high-profile Robert Blake/Phil Spector/OJ Simpson murder cases going on, the Casey Anthony murder trial thing provided plenty to captivate America's attention.

This has especially been the case following the controversial not-guilty verdict issued by by a jury of Anthony's peers yesterday -- a ruling that caused noted Anthony hater Nancy Grace to proclaim that "the devil is dancing" over the jury's decision, just before her head exploded live on the air. Or at least we think that's what happened.

Either way, the boredom/outrage of the nation's collective conscious nearly rendered social media sites like Twitter and Facebook too annoying to visit following the mid-afternoon bombardment of Casey Anthony updates.

Partly because the topic has so deeply permeated our brains, and partly because we're just so damn happy the thing is finally over with, we decided to make a Casey Anthony post-trial playlist. Naturally, it features some of our favorite songs about murder, trials, lies, innocence and guilt.

there's a huge distinction between making light of an adult dying naturally and and helpless child being murdered and disposed of like trash. It's a lazy column idea at best, and even worse it reveals a very disturbing aspect of your personality.

All the TV media types got their drawers and panties when the Anthony jury did no go along with their slam dunk verdict. I have a friend that said the prosecution had an excellent closing statement, the jury loved the incompetent defense attorney, and the jury closed their eyes/ears to the evidence presented. Sometimes a case is won and sometimes it is lost. Just get over it.

Yeah, I mean, come on, we all saw three years of daily coverage on this because she's so...white...and hot, and stuff. I mean, can't we at least honor the hot and white people who were all affected by this?
