Poster of the Week: Girl Talk at the Granada
So, on that note, this will be the last time we mention it. Promise. (Not counting tomorrow morning's show review.)
And, better yet, it makes sense as a design. The show is being sponsored by 7-Eleven's Slurpee MixMaker (hence the $7.11 ticket price), which, surely, is where the idea for the mixer covered in batter came from. Or, perhaps, it's a reference to headliner Girl Talk's mixing abilities? Not sure.
Still, it sings.
Our only complaint is that opening act The Cool Kids, who are pretty damn awesome in their own right, got the shaft on this poster, not even meriting a mention. Oh, well. Next time? Hope so.
