This Week In Dallas Music History: Leap Frogging Through History With The Toadies

Rubberneck.jpg
The beginning of history as we know it
In this edition of This Week In Dallas Music History, we look back at an infographic we here at the Observer published to chart the career arc of The Toadies, following the release of their seminal record Rubberneck and through the production of their at-the-time unnamed follow-up.

If you have a hard time remembering where you were the first time you heard "Possum Kingdom," this chart might help -- although, be warned, it's more or less a trip through the '90s, complete with notes about the Clinton/Lewinsky scandal, the O.J. Simpson trial, and the deaths of Tupac, Notorious B.I.G., Princess Diana and Chris Farley.

Interestingly, the graphic does more in-depth charting of Dallas act Bedhead than it does The Toadies. But who's paying attention to that when you're taking a trip through a decade we'd just as soon forget?

Hit the jump to see the entire infographic.
