It shouldn't come as a surprise that the top record store in town has been affected by the phenomenon that is South By Southwest spillover.

After all, now that The Cavern has gone from being a music venue to an English/Irish Bar (The Crown & Harp), Good Records pretty much indisputably has the best stage on Lowest Greenville. And they'll get a chance to prove that much over the next few days as a few SXSW-bound, legendary punk acts are scheduled to show up on Good's astro-turf covered stage.

Tonight, Good Records welcomes legendary punk rockers The Fleshtones, who'll perform an acoustic set at 6 p.m. The set will be a far cry from their original shows at CBGB and Max's Kansas City in Manhattan during the '70s, but that's all the more reason to go see this one-of-a-kind performance. Plus, if you're hungry for more, The Fleshtones will have a full-blown electric performance at Club Dada later tonight.

But the biggest name that Good Records has had on their stage in years (possibly ever) is legendary West Coast punk icon and Minutemen founder Mike Watt, who'll be on the astro-turf at 6 p.m. tomorrow evening. In advance of his show tomorrow night at The Loft, Watt will be holding what he's calling a "hoot and spiel," which translates, essentially, into a question-and-answer session. Questions will likely range in topic from his work in The Stooges to his new opera Hyphenated-Man, which is what he'll be promoting during his SXSW showcases.

As always with Good Records in-stores, both events will be free to attend.
