New School of Seven Bells Song Included On Benefit Album For Recovery in Japan
Categories: DFW Music News
Civic Force, a Japanese not-for-profit, has released a digital album download to benefit Japan in hopes of aiding their recovery from the recently devastating earthquake and resulting tsunami.
And unlike USA for Africa, there's no Dan Aykroyd in sight. Instead, included on the 64-track album is a song by School of Seven Bells, which will be returning to Dallas in a few weeks to play this year's second annual Homegrown Music and Arts Festival. Other well-known names contributing to the release include Akron/Family (in town tonight at The Loft!), Parts & Labor and Bear in Heaven.
All proceeds from the album go towards Civic Force, Japan's emergency response organization. You can get the entire album here, for the low price of $15.
