Giveaway: Five Pairs of Tickets to See Destroyer, War On Drugs, and Nervous Curtains at The Loft on Saturday
Destroyer, the chamber pop group lead by Dan Bejar, also of New Pornographers fame, will being playing at The Loft tomorrow night in promotion of their latest album, Kaputt, which has received much critical acclaim for its wafting, smooth-jazz feel and heavy horn usage. The album is not of the typical indie pop fare; in fact, its sound is more akin to early David Bowie, with a hefty amount of trance-enducing shoegaze that would perfectly compliment a lazy afternoon smoking a pipe while reading a gentleman's magazine.
Opening for Destroyer is popular indie rock group War on Drugs, as well as local post-punk favorites Nervous Curtains, so it's bound to be a great show.
And the best part? Thanks to our friends at The Loft, we have five pairs of tickets to give out to some lucky DC9 readers. Intrigued? Find out how to win after the jump.
Update: Contest is over. Congrats to our winners.
