Giveaway: A Pair of Tickets to Tomorrow Night's Walkmen Show at The Granada Theater. Also: A Free Poster!

This morning, it was announced that The Walkmen's highly anticipated show at the Granada Theater this weekend has finally sold out. Not all that surprising, really, considering the amount of acclaim their latest album, Lisbon, has received. And deservedly so: Lisbon's quiet take on classic American rock 'n' roll is quite refreshing

In this week's paper, Walkmen frontman Hamilton Leithauser described to us the ways in which the new direction is changing the band's live show:
"I really like our show now-more than I've ever liked it," Leithauser says. "And I think people do, too. But it's kind of surprising because it doesn't seem like that's the kind of thing that's going to bring the house down. But the quietness makes the whole thing much more fun for everyone -- even the drunk dudes screaming." Continue reading...
It's pretty exciting, then, that Dallas will get to hear The Walkmen perform cuts from Lisbon and the rest of their catalog tomorrow night.

Oh, and for those of you disappointed that you missed your chance to get tickets for the show, you're in luck! Thanks to the fine folks at the Granada theater, we have the very last pair of tickets to hand out to one lucky DC9 reader. That person will also win a screen print of the Granada's commissioned show poster (see insert image). Hit the jump to find out how to win this amazing deal.

Want the tickets and poster? OK! Just be the very first person to email Pete, starting right now, with the words "Walk Like A Man" in the subject line, and you're in. Good luck!

Contest is over. Congrats to our winner!

I'm pretty sure they don't. Hamilton wasn't the singer of that band. They do, however, play the occasional Recoys song. Rare, though.
