Picture Show: The Bud Light Hotel Kicks Off Its Weekend With Lifehouse and The Fray

Lifehouse kicked things off at the Bud Light Hotel last night.

List the things you might expect to see in the front row at a show by The Fray, and a fistfight would probably be one of the last things you'd come up with -- lower, even, than a "Presented by KXT..." banner.

But there it was last night, two songs into the band's set at the Bud Light Hotel's kickoff party -- two guys and a girl having it out just 20 feet from Isaac Slade's heartfelt soft-rockin' at the piano. As the night's emcee said between sets by Lifehouse and The Fray, though, "This isn't a concert! It's a Bud Light party!" So interpret that as you will.

Altogether, the party in a big tent outside Aloft was a mellow affair, full of well-behaved Uptown types in peacoats and fedoras, with a few football jerseys scattered among the crowd.
