Sebadoh

The two most celebrated albums from lo-fi indie rock legends Sebadoh, 1996's Harmacy and 1994's Bakesale, marked a significant change in direction from the band. Following the departure of co-founder Eric Gaffney and his frantic, experimental noise rock, the band shifted its sound from two-minute, schizophrenic songs into slightly longer, more refined pieces.

It's funny how band dynamics work like that -- especially considering that Sebadoh was created, essentially, as a means for frontman Lou Barlow to express his own stifled creativity in Dinosaur Jr. But they do. And now Barlow and his "other" band are on tour, promoting the re-release of Harmacy and Bakesale, and bringing fellow indie rockers Quasi with them.

Excited yet? You will be when you find out that, thanks to the Granada Theater, we have two pairs of tickets to give away to DC9 readers interested in seeing Sebadoh and Quasi perform this Saturday. And maybe even more so when you hear that recently broken up local band Dove Hunter will reunite to open this show.

Find out how to win your free pair of tickets after the jump.

Want one of the free pair of tickets? OK! Just be among the first two people to e-mail Pete, starting right now, with the words "Doh Nuts" in the subject line, and you're in. Good luck!

Update: Contest is over. Congrats to our winners!
