Watch: Rhett Miller, Trick Shot Hoopster

A while back -- can't remember when, and a quick Google search ain't revealing where -- I remember reading a quote from Old 97's guitarist Ken Bethea, who coaches youth football in the region, talking about his bandmate Rhett Miller, discussing how he was a surprisingly talented athlete, and saying that he wouldn't make a bad quarterback.

OK, cool. But after watching the above clip (and a second one posted after the jump) of Rhett and the 97's fooling around on a basketball court before a gig on their current tour, we're thinking Rhett ain't a bad basketball player, either. We're not saying he has a future in the Association or anything. But, hey, he might have a future being a Flip camera spokesperson.
