Giveaway: Two Pairs of Tickets to Tonight's Apples in Stereo Show at the Granada Theater

In this week's paper, I catch up with the Apples in Stereo's Robert Schneider -- and interesting guy, to be sure -- who, in addition to founding the Apples and the ridiculously influential Elephant Six collective, has recently become a darling on the mathematical speaking circuit and has, as you can see in the above clip, has invented a mind-controlled synthesizer.

It was a fascinating interview -- I recommend you check out the story in full -- because, fact of the matter is, this guy's just an absurdly creative soul. You can see that in his dalliances away from music, sure, but it's also especially prevalent in the Apples' intentionally misspelled new disc, Travellers in Space and Time, which, Schneider says, was written to be a pop record for kids 20 years in the future, and, while aping ELO and others, kind of sounds like as much, too. More important? It's just a crazy fun record -- one to just let loose with and dance around to, for sure.

So tonight's show at the Granada Theater, which the Apples, with local drummer John Dufilho in tow, will headline, should be a good time. And a free time, too, if you're lucky enough to win one of the two free pairs of passes the Granada's been kind enough to pass along. Hit the jump to find out how to win.

Want one of the free passes? OK: Just be one of the first two people to email me right now with the words "Apples to Apples" in the subject line, and you're in. Good luck!

Update: Contest is over. Congrats to our winners!
