Giveaway: A Pair of Tickets To See Wu-Tang's Inspectah Deck and Masta Killa at Rubber Gloves Rehearsal Studios on Wednesday
Almost all of the original members have also moved on to successful solo careers since coming together as a group. RZA, GZA, Method Man, Raekwon, Ghostface Killah, Inspectah Deck, U-God, Masta Killa, and Ol' Dirty Bastard (deceased) -- they're all names you may have heard before.
And two of those members, Inspectah Deck and Masta Killa, are coming through Rubber Gloves Rehearsal Studios in Denton on Wednesday night -- possibly as a warm up for the full-on Wu-Tang reunion show at the Granada Theater on December 10.
It should make for an interesting contrast of a show. While "neighborhood Spider-Man" Inspectah Deck is known for this voracious delivery, Masta Killa is known for more of a laid-back style. And while Inspectah Deck is influential to Wu-Tang -- he was prominently featured on hits "C.R.E.A.M" and "Protect Ya Neck" -- Masta Killa is hugely influential on the band's fondness for martial arts and Asian imagery. Oh, and like every other member of Wu-Tang Clan, they've both got critically acclaimed solo discs to call their own.
So, surely, you, like us, are pretty excited to see these two guys bringing some good hip-hop to Denton. If so, you're in luck: Rubber Gloves has been kind enough to give us a pair of tickets to giveaway for the show tomorrow night. See how to win the tickets after the jump!
Update: Contest is over. Congrats to our winners!
