This weekend is stuffed with some pretty big shows, but the biggest one coming to town this weekend might be Saturday's Rockstar Energy Drink Uproar Music Festival at Superpages.com Center with Disturbed, Avenged Sevenfold, our own Hellyeah and many more.

Maybe getting all jacked up on repackaged Mountain Dew and listening nu-metal isn't your thing? Here are a few shows we've already mentioned this week.

On Friday, Autolux will perform at The Loft, The Backsliders will be at Lola's in Fort Worth along with Max Cady and Pale Horse and Fox & The Bird, The Beaten Sea, Listen Listen will be at City Tavern. On Greenville Avenue, Designer Drugs will have everyone dancing to their Mariah Carey remixes at Granada Theater.

On Saturday, Sarah Jaffe and Seryn will be at Granada Theater, and Shiny Around The Edges, Dust Congress, Brent Best, and Chris Flemmons will be at Rubber Gloves Rehearsal Studios in Denton. And if they can get all the Rockstar Energy Drink cans cleaned off the lawn of the Superpages.com Center in time, Dave Matthews Band will be there along with amazing Austin band Black Joe Lewis & The Honeybears. Meanwhile, over at Opening Bell Coffee, local singer-songwriter Ronnie Fauss and Trey Johnson will play their alt-country tunes.

Lastly, on Sunday, Jack Oblivian, John Paul Keith, and Bad Sports will be at Double Wide and Patrick Park will be at Hailey's Club in support of Sea Wolf and Sera Cahoone.

More of this weekend's shows after the jump.

Ishi, Romp Almighty
Friday, September 10, at The Belmont Hotel

Ishi will be headlining what will no doubt be a great pool party at the Belmont Hotel. Make sure you you bring your swim trunks and your dancing shoes.

Nick Cannon
Friday, September 10, at House Of Blues

Mariah Carey's future baby-daddy suspiciously plans a tour during the diva's alleged pregnancy. Smart move.

Guitar Shorty
Friday, September 10, at Sons of Hermann Hall

Houston-born blues legend Guitar Shorty brings his legendary live show to the Sons of Hermann Hall. The guy played with Sam Cooke and Ray Charles, and influenced Jimi Hendrix and Bo Diddley among many others. And even at age 71, we hear he still puts on quite the live show.

Gary P. Nunn, Hunter Hendrickson
Friday, September 10, at The Kessler Theater

Over on the younger side of the blues spectrum, local prodigy Hunter Hendrickson will be showing off his 18-year-old chops at the Kessler Theater in support of Gary P. Nunn.

Paramore, Tegan and Sara, New Found Glory, Kadawatha
Friday, September 10, at Verizon Theatre

18 year olds who aren't into the blues might dig this lineup at Verizon Theatre. This show should be fun, but the fans who are in the know will probably also see Tegan and Sara's acoustic performance this afternoon at Good Records.

Rigor Mortis, Maleveller
Friday, September 10, at Trees

Legendary Dallas thrash band, Rigor Mortis returns for their first show in the USA in over two years with local support from the always-impressive Maleveller.

galleryCat, Electric Courage Machine, Ode To Trees
Saturday, September 11, at Double Wide

Local hip-hop act galleryCat wowed the audience at the Dallas Observer Music Awards showcase with their live mashup with Mount Righteous back in July. Their impressive mix of hip-hop, soul and rock will make for a good show at Double Wide on Saturday.

Smile Smile, Titanmoon
Saturday, September 11, at Hailey's Club

Fresh off the release of their newest video for their song "Truth On Tape," Smile Smile is taking the show up to Denton along with local pop rock act Titanmoon.

Jonas Brothers, Demi Lovato
Sunday, September 12, at Superpages.com Center

Remember when this show was scheduled in July and thousands of tweens were devastated? Rest easy, kids, the show is this Sunday.

...and that concludes Good Friday. Post any shows we might have missed in the comments section, and have a great weekend!
