Giveaway: Two Pairs of Tickets To This Weekend's September To Remember Affair

For the fourth year in a row now, the folks at Third String Productions are ringing in the return of the school year with its annual September to Remember affair, which grabs a whole bunch of mall-approved pop-punkers (a good chunk of which, it should be noted, are local) and offers them up in an easily digestible two-day affair, this year held at Plano's underused Oak Point Amphitheater.

And there's some gems on the bill, too, hidden beneath the bright lights of the touring headliners of This Providence and the like. We've devoted plenty of space to talking up The Secret Handshake's new direction in recent weeks, but This Is The Good Fight is also worth the look-see.

So, too, depending on your gym, tan and laundry schedule, is Dallas' own Disco Curtis, who last night saw their song "Surprise Me," placed on MTV's Jersey Shore. (In other placement news unrelated to September to Remember, another Dallas act, Jonathan Tyler & The Northern Lights, is having its "Young & Free" used by ESPN this year as part of the sports network's college football broadacasts.)
