Of the 50, he completed two--and then he kind of disappeared for a few years after the release of his Christmas album in 2006.
Maybe if he hadn't put more than 20 songs on each of his last two records, he would've gotten a bit closer to completing the collection.
Recently, though, he said he was giving up on his project--in tandem with contemplating quitting music altogether. That didn't exactly paint a bright future for the songwriter's career. But now he's back, and he'll be passing through town on Wednesday, October 20, for a performance at McFarlin Auditorium. Pre-sale tickets are available at Asthmatic Kitty for $35.
In local show announcement news, Rubber Gloves Rehearsal Studios will be holding a Cats and Dogs Benefit for the Denton Humane Society on Saturday, September 11, featuring Shiny Around The Edges, Dust Congress, Brent Best, Chris Flemmons and many more. Tickets will be $6, and the doors open at 2 p.m.
