Giveaway: One Pair of Tickets To See James Hall, Bobgoblin, The Boom Boom Box and New Fumes Tonight At The Kessler

If you've spent a few minutes talking about music with Jeff Liles, chances are at some point he brought up one of his favorite performers, James Hall, formerly of Pleasure Club and Mary My Hope, with descriptions of an intense live show that borders on religious revival.

So it's little surprise that with Liles now booking shows at The Kessler, he would make an effort to book Hall, who is now backed by The Futura Bold. In fact, James Hall and The Futura Bold are in town this weekend for a two-night stand, with stellar, yet very different, opening bills behind him each night. Tonight's lineup includes a blast from Denton concept-rock past, Bobgoblin, along with Boom Boom Box and New Fumes. Tomorrow's openers are Sunward, The O's and Daniel Folmer.

So excited is Liles about the show that he wrote up an Echoes and Reverberations post on James Hall, gathering thoughts from Clark Voegler, Mike Graff and Hall himself, among others. You can read it here on Liles' Facebook page.
