Giveaway (and Belated Poster of the Week): A Pair of Tickets and A Free Poster For Tonight's Octopus Project Show at the Granada

OctopusProject_AaronEiland.jpg
Dallas-based graphic designer Aaron Eiland's clearly got a nice eye, as both his above poster design for The Octopus Project's Texas tour and his extensive collection of other poster designs show. It's a pretty simple design, sure, but it's in its clever re-appropriation of the human head (in this case, getting turns upside down and turned into a gramaphone), it really makes you think, y'know? Well, think about this: The actual poster itself--not just the above representation of it--features metallic silver in the areas that appear gray above. Explains Eiland: "It's just a little hard to show that on a computer."

No worries, Aaron. It works for us either way. Especially considering that you've been kind enough to offer up a free silk-screened version of the print to one lucky DC9 reader. Add in the fact that the Granada's also been kind enough to offer up that poster winner with another pair of tickets to the show, and, hell, this is quite a nice little prize pack. Want it? OK: Be the first to email me right now with the words "Poster Project" in the subject line and you're seeing the show and keeping the above, only more metallic, poster, too. Good luck!

Update: Contest is over. Congrats to our winner!
