Giveaway: Three Pairs of Tickets To Catch The Hood Internet Tomorrow Night at The Loft

Against all odds, mash-ups are still popular--mostly because, yes, white people really like hearing their favorite rap lines placed over their favorite indie rock anthems. Enter the Chicago-based duo The Hood Internet, which specializes in mash-ups that do just that. The duo's been around since '07 now, and their popularity's never really been higher. Credit their constantly updated blog, which offers up free mash-up after free mash-up on a weekly basis for that. Also: OK, they're pretty good at it, too. Far as I'm concerned, theirs was the best of the many "Ice Cream Paint Job" remixes that started popping up last fall.

And, as Girl Talk has shown us many a time before, mash-ups are really fun live. So, on that note, we're pretty excited that the folks at the Loft have passed along three free pairs of tickets for us to hand out to The Hood Internet's performance at that space tomorrow night.
