Dallas Native and Secret Machine Member Brandon Curtis To Join Interpol's Live Set-up
| "Hey, dude on the left: Wanna join Interpol?" |
Prior to forming the Secret Machines with fellow Dallasite drummer Josh Garza and Curtis' guitarist brother Benjamin (who, in 2007, left the band to form the awesome School of Seven Bells), he played in longtime Deep Ellum favorites Captain Audio and UFOFU.
Wrote Interpol of Curtis' addition to the band: "Curtis is a member of the Secret Machines. Enough said."
And, of both additions: "We are very excited and honored to be working with such talented individuals."
Let's add this to those statements: Curtis' resume just keeps getting more and more impressive, don't it?
Oh, and the most encouraging thing? The use of the present and not the past tense when describing his relationship with the Secret Machines. Good thing, too. Last we heard from the band, it released a couple singles at the turn of the calendar year. And they were awesome.
