More of this weekend's shows after the jump...
Deadman, Doug Burr
Friday, May 14, at the Kessler Theater
Great country folk artist shares a bill with a great country folk band. Deadman has been around Dallas for a long time, and they consistently put out great records. This show, meanwhile, is serving as Burr's CD release show for his excellent new album, O Ye Devastator.
Eddie Money, Josh Weathers Band
Friday, May 14, at Glass Cactus
Eddie Money will have you singing "Take Me Home Tonight," although it might be hard to wait until the show's over.
Friday, May 14, at Good Records
The founder of My Spacecoaster, a former member of Polyphonic Spree, and now a solo artist with some beautiful tunes will play at Good Records.
A.Dd+, Ni Taylor, D-Win, Sober
Saturday, May 15 at The Lounge on Elm Street
Solid lineup of local hip-hop artists and DJs take over the Lounge.
Captured! By Robots, Dim Locator
Saturday, May 15 at Doublewide
A guy named JBOT built a bunch of robots to be his backing band. It's actually quite impressive, and not nearly as stupid as it sound..
Saturday, May 15 at Sons of Hermann Hall
It's a big weekend for CD releases. Ishi celebrates the release of its folktronic debut, Through the Trees, at this show. Read all about the band in next week's Observer.
Matthew And The Arrogant Sea, Brave Combo
Saturday, May 15 at Dan's Silverleaf
One of the weirder bills we've seen. Grammy Award winning Polka act, Brave Combo, opening for one of the area's top indie bands? OK, then!
Nico Vega, Red Leaves, Ella Minnow
Like 'em or hate 'em, Nico Vega puts on a heck of a rock show.
Saturday, May 15 at Billy Bob's Texas
Springfield has made the transition from pop star to soap opera star and back. Also, he still pines after Jessie's Girl, duh.
It looks like a good weekend for music. We hope it gets you through until Monday. Got more you wanna hype? Add 'em in the comments.
