Giveaway: Three Pairs of Tickets to Tomorrow Night's Owen Pallett Show at the Granada

Categories: Giveaway!

In this week's paper (out now in some places, tomorrow at others and online soon), Catherine Downes tackles the topic of Owen Pallett, the artist formerly known as Cloud Strife Final Fantasy. Tomorrow night at the Granada, Pallett comes to town in support of his January-released debut under his new moniker, Heartland. Here's Downes' take:
Before Heartland's January release Pallett hadn't dropped a full-length album since He Poos Clouds in 2006. But, now, with a new extensive full-length in tow, Pallett is back on the music front with what arguably may be his best album yet. It's a theatrical, skillfully orchestrated release, and, at times, Pallett's voice finds itself almost indistinguishable from that of Beirut's Zach Condon--and that's definitely not a bad thing.

Last time Pallett was in town, he was the opening act for a sold-out Arcade Fire performance. This time, he'll be headlining--and deservedly so.
Many thanks, then, to the folks at the Granada Theater for hooking us up with three pairs of tickets to hand out to a few lucky DC9 readers. Want one? Just be among the first three folks to email me right now with the words "Final Performance" in the subject line. Good luck!

Update: Contest is over. Congrats to our winners!
