• Look beyond the hair and the music and listen to the message. Lots of upheaval because of the video...but what is she saying? That's what we should take from it. She's a unique artist with a message to promote love and acceptance of individuality. Pay attention!

• One thing I give Erykah credit for, she got everybody's attention esp. the TV hosts, after she went naked through the streets. And she's getting exposure. I guess that's the point. Her fashion style IMO is "overdone".

• That is not a "Rick James Doo". It is an afrocentric hairdo that was primarily worn by Black women during the mid to late 70's. Basically long braids with beads or cowrie shells interwoven. To attribute it to Rick James is insulting and shows ignorance.

• HOw do you know what the hair is inspired by, vecchio? American crisis: people talking what they dont know all the time.

• i'm with bibby. i was so tired but i tape wendy's show and depending on her guests, i'll watch. no slight to wendy - love her, but i only have so much time to watch tv. anyway i LOVE LOVE LOVE erykah badu. she could fub the entire song and i would't care. i loved her hair. very erykah and i also can't wait to get her new cd!!! i'll be watching her on chelsea as well!

• I hate to say it, but Erykah can do no wrong in my eyes. I just love her, Rick James Hair and all! Can't wait to get New Amerykah Part 2 & will be getting it at Good Records on Greenville to support the local music stores.
