Giveaway: Two Pairs of Tickets to the Mayer Hawthorne Show Tonight at The Loft

In this week's paper, Noah W. Bailey, who's been sold on Mayer Hawthorne and his retro-Moown cool for some time now, does his best to sell you on Hawthorne, too, in advance of tonight's performance from the man at The Loft. Writes Bailey:

Hawthorne turned out one of the best soul records in decades with last October's A Strange Arrangement, and it really is hard to believe that Holland/Dozier/Holland doesn't appear anywhere in the credits since the disc apes everyone from The Temptations ("Your Easy Lovin' Ain't Pleasin' Nothin'") to Smokey Robinson ("Just Ain't Gonna Work Out")...
