And the band certainly sounds like it.
Since 1993, the ex-husband-and-wife team of Sam Coomes and Janet Weiss has been parlaying its dense, '60s-style psychedelia and feedback-infused rock into years of critical kudos--17 or so, actually. Bassist Joanna Bolme joined the fray in 2007 and the band has never sounded better. And the band just recently released its eighth album, the super-heavy American Gong. And Quasi was even kind enough to give the readers of DC9 a sneak-peak download of the new album's lead track, "Repulsion." Check it out after the jump.
