Super Busy Eve of New Year's Eve Gig Alert: Toadies, Old 97s, Slobberbone, Sarah Jaffe, True Widow and La Grange's Grand Opening
First off, as you already know, tonight marks the final night of the Old 97s four-night run at Sons of Hermann Hall. It also marks the first of the Toadies' two-night run at Trees.
But there's much, much more: Tonight at the Granada Theater you'll find a great triple bill of Slobberbone, Scott H. Biram and Telegraph Canyon at The Granada. And, downtown at City Tavern, the dirge-rocking True Widow performs an "An Evening With..." affair where it plans to unveil some of its new songs. And, over at the House of Blues, a more emo bill is up for grabs, featuring Sleeperstar, Jillian Edwards, Stars Go Dim and Ryan Edgar tonight at House of Blues?
All that a little heavy for you? Then check out Sarah Jaffe and Jeremy Bueller at Opening Bell Coffee for a folkier, singer-songwriter vibe.
And, last, but not least: The King Bucks, Grant Jones & The Pistol Grip Lassos and The O's hit up the grand opening of La Grange down in Deep Ellum, right across from Trees.
Tomorrow night's busy, sure--but tonight's offerings may take the cake...
