The hits keep on coming for Palomo.
Well, we expected to see either of the DFW-bred acts that popped up earlier this week in Pitchfork's countdown of the top 100 tracks of 2009 to make another appearance in the countdown as it progressed.

But, honestly? We were kind of expecting it to be St. Vincent. Instead, it's Alan Palomo's Neon Indian project that's placed a second song on the list, this time with slacker anthem "Deadbeat Summer" coming in at No. 13 on the Web site's now-completed countdown.

It's indeed been quite the banner year for Mr. Palomo, who rightfully deserves congratulations for this latest this fine distinction.
