Giveaway: Five Pairs of Tickets to See Datarock Tomorrow Night at the Granada

Unlike other European dance acts, Norwegian electro-rock outfit Datarock sets itself apart from the pack by forgoing a sense of cool and going straight for the geeky jugular. For proof, look no farther than the above music video for the band's 2005 breakthrough hit, "Computer Camp Love," which combines elements of electronica, a little bit of nerdcore and a dash of musical theater (See: Grease). It's a combination that lends the band an instant accessibility for one, not to mention a certain endearing quality.

Even more interestingly, though, Datarock has accomplished its level of notoriety all on its own, mwithout the help of a label. The band has released its entire output--2005's Datarock Datarock, 2007's See What I Care EP and this year's Red full-length--on its own label, Young Aspiring Professionals.
 
Now on the road in support of Red, the ever-revolving cast of Datarockers (now a two-piece featuring Frederik Saroea and Ketil Mosnes) will stop by the Granada Theater tomorrow night.
