Bonus MP3: Rob Viktum & Don Will featuring Phil Nash, Von Pea and Lee Sissing -- "Worth The Wait"

Rob Viktum, long one of our favorite area hip-hop producers, has a new project coming out next week--a collaboration with Don Will, one-third of the very much buzzing Brooklyn-based Tanya Morgan, for an EP called Aight, New Drink.

And it features Viktum's soulful beats very much in the environment in which they're best heard: under the intelligent rhymes of worthwhile underground MCs. We'll have much more on the project in next week's print edition, but, in the meantime, Viktum's been kind enough to pass along a free download of the five-track EP's opening song, "Worth The Wait."

And, yeah, go ahead and judge if the song lives up its name. 'Cause you're gonna have to hit the jump to get it.

Love the opening drop. Love the sound. Love the hook. Love bravado of Nash's "Def Jam couldn't sign a real artist if they fuckin' life depended on it" line...
