Weekend Roundup: Kenny Chesney, Dave Matthews Band and Demi Lovato
Sure, his tractor is sexy, but that was the last thing Kenny Chesney fans were thinking about Saturday in Frisco. Instead of disappointing thousands when a spring storm rolled in, the sleeveless heartthrob pressed on, giving concert-goers at least a little of what they paid for. Unfortunately for spectators, Chesney was only able to perform five songs before the show was called off. Even more unfortunately, the show has not yet been rescheduled and no refunds have been issued.
Dave Matthews Band @ Superpages.com Center, Saturday, May 2
Lucky for DMB fans, the storms held off at Superpages.com Center on Saturday night. (Here's our slideshow from the show.) Dallas got to experience the band the way they should be, with their trademark lengthy jam sessions and fancy lights show. Still recovering from the death of saxophonist LeRoi Moore, this was the band's first trip to Dallas since the ATV crash that took Moore's life.
Demi Lovato @ Nokia Theatre, Tuesday, April 28
Dallas-native Demi Lovato played a private show at Nokia Theatre in Grand Prairie last week. Who knew? The 16-year-old Disney Channel golden child talks about life and love more eloquently than most adults. Aww, how sweet.
