I guess congratulations are in order this morning for Jessica Simpson and Tony Romo?

Sure, why not?

Dallas' most famous glossy rag pair are slammed right from the get-go in the new Eminem video that premiered at 6 a.m. EST today on MTV. And the hating, I guess, is kind of funny... but the video itself? Kind of a snoozefest, I think, as its exactly the same first single we've heard from Eminem every time he's put out a new record, But, hey, if it ain't broke...

Anyway, check the video above. And try not to think to hard about whether Pink already made this same video...

Right Eminen is an original, and every black rapper before him is copying him. What is this - the bigger the lie the more I'm supposed to agree with it. Lip synching sucks. A lot of people gave Ashlee a hard time for lip synching. Why does Eminem get a pass? OK, first of all, Em' is wearing Troy Aikman's jersey, not Tony Romo's. Get it? He's saying that Troy is tapping Tony's shit. Not hard to figure out. Now, Hendricks... any chance you could shut down this one-man war against the world? Lip synching has been a part of live television since the days of American Bandstand, Soul Train, and Midnight Special. It didn't start with Ashlee Simpson on SNL. Live music sounds terrible and flat when mixed for live television. (Are you really just now figuring this out?) Eminem is anything but generic. "Generic" implies that something is without a signature sound or style. Perhaps you'd like to give five or six examples of other artists who write like Em', sound like Em', look like Em', or sell as many CDs as him. Fuck, Tom. Name ONE artist who comes anywhere close. Like him or not, NOBODY sounds like him (and vice versa)... and no rapper sells as many CDs or sells out as many arena-sized shows. Research, Tom. Google some shit every now and then.
For me this is corporate art complaining about corporate art! Nobody seemed to notice but the week after Simpson's sister got caught lip syncing on Saturday Night Live, Eminem was on and was obviously lip syncing part of his performance too. The video is well enough done for a viewing or two, but it only hides music that is very generic. Time for a revolution in the arts! New century, new everything.
I think the video is hillarious. Eminem looks good in a Brett Michaels wig.
